Robert Matthew is Secwépemc from Simpcw. He has a Teaching Certificate and a Masters of Education and over 40 years experience in teaching and administration, 15 years in the B.C. public schools system and 25 years at Chief Atahm School. His passion is oral history, traditional knowledge and mapping.
Tammy LeBourdais teaches our Grade One immersion class at Chief Atahm School. She combines the direct teaching and experiential learning. She keeps the students engaged by incorporating energizing activities and teaching strategies.
Language learning happens when students are relaxed and having fun. Robert Matthew and Tammy LeBourdais will demonstrate some games and activities to liven up your language classes. They will share some of the best games, songs and activities used in our programs to help enhance language learning at every level. This workshop provides an energetic workout and lots of laughter.
Each participant will receive a booklet with language game ideas.
